Markus Manson will finish career elsewhere
Running back Markus Manson will finish his collegiate career elsewhere after deciding to to transfer.
Manson, who graduated in December, but had one year of eligibility remaining, will transfer to Valdsota State.
He was one of the most highly-touted running backs in the nation in 2004 when he came to Gainesville from Hillcrest High in Tuscaloosa, Ala. But for whatever reason, he never succeeded in Gainesville.
Manson started two games as a redshirt freshman in 2005, rushing for 365 yards and two touchdowns. But the next year, he had just four carries for 15 yards. He moved to cornerback last season, but never saw playing time at the position.
Manson will be eligible to play immediately at Valdosta State.
