Tebow thanks UF fans for their support

With his Heisman Trophy in tow, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow addressed Florida fans at halftime of the Florida-Kentucky game, thanking them for their support and apologizing for the Gators' 9-4 season.

"People think it (the Heisman) is about me, but it's not just about me,'' Tebow said. "It's about my coaches, my teammates and most importantly, you the fans,'' Tebow said.

Dressed in a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up and jeans, Tebow told fans the incoming recruiting class is solid.

"The future looks good at Florida,'' he said. "We've got a lot of good, young guys coming to Florida.''

He told the fans he didn't get a chance to properly thank them after winning the Heisman in New York, adding he shared the award with all Gator fans.

Finally, he offered an apology for the season the Gators put together, finishing with a loss to Michigan in the Capital One Bowl.

"I want to apologize,'' Tebow said. "9-4 is not good enough for you. Next year, we'll see you in Atlanta and beyond.''
