Percy Harvin to undergo surgery
After consultation with UF team physician Dr. Pete Indelicato and North Carolina foot specialist Dr. Bob Anderson, receiver Percy Harvin has decided to undergo surgery on his injured heel, which has already caused him to miss most of spring practice.
Harvin will travel to North Carolina to have the surgery.
"They're having surgery on his heel, and it's not a career-threatening injury,'' UF coach Urban Meyer said. It's a very minor surgery ... probably an eight-week recovery, and then he'll be full speed for off-season."
