Florida-Alabama highest-rated SEC Championship game
CBS Sports' national coverage of the SEC Championship game betweenFlorida and Alabama earned an overnight metered market rating/share of 10.4/21, a 73 percent increase from last year’s 6.0/12 for the SEC Championship featuring LSU and Tennessee.
That is the best ever rating for the SEC Championship game since its debut in 1992 and is the highest-rated regular season college football game on CBS since 1989’s USC-Notre Dame game (10.6).
Florida-Alabama also is the highest rated non-bowl game on any network in the metered markets since 2006 (13.7for Ohio State-Michigan on Nov. 18, 2006.
