Florida quarterback Tim Tebow among early nominees for Unitas Award
Tim Tebow, the Florida Gators' senior quarterback, is among 22 players who have made the initial cut for the 2009 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, presented annually to the top senior quarterback in the country.
Tebow is joined by a list of candidates that includes Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, South Florida's Matt Grothe and Juice Williams of Illinois.
Tebow is also a nominee for the Allstate/American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team, which honors college football players who make outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement.
