Former Florida linebacker Wilber Marshall to be enshrined in College Football Hall of Fame today
Former Gator Wilber Marshall and 20 others, including Troy Aikman, Thurman Thomas and Lou Holtz, were enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night in South Bend, Ind.
Marshall, who played from 1980-83, broke Florida's single-season records for sacks (11) and tackles for loss (27) as a sophomore. He had 58 tackles for loss during his career, and finished with 23 career sacks and 343 career tackles, 210 solo. He was a finalist for the Lombardi Award twice.
Marshall is also among a select few Florida players who have been placed in the Gators' Ring of Honor at Florida Field.
