Michael Guilford to be honored with Florida seniors on Saturday

Michael Guilford, the Florida walkon quarterback who lost his life in a motorcycle accident in 2007, will be remembered during the ceremony honoring Florida's senior class Saturday against Florida State.

"We're going to invite his family down,'' an emtional Florida coach Urban Meyer said. "He's a part of this group. . . That (his death) really stung this football team''

Guilford and Florida student Ashley Slonina were killed when Guilford lost control of his motorcycle near campus.

"He's got a terrific family,'' Meyer said. "We're going to try to do the best we can to make that family feel at peace with what he did here. He was a phenomenal young man and a phenomenal member of this team. So he'll be part of senior day.''
