Jermaine Cunningham's greatest accomplishment yet to come
Florida senior DE Jermaine Cunningham has been a part of two national championship teams and three SEC regular season champs, but he said his greatest accomplishment at Florida is yet to come.
And he's not talking about the possibility of a third national title.
Cunningham will graduate next month with a degree in anthropology.
"There are a lot of things that happened through my four years, but I’d probably say the lasting thing will probably be me graduating Dec. 18,'' Cunningham said.
Actually, Cunningham is earning his degree in 3 1/2 years.
"I knew I had a shot, and as it came closer and closer, I took it real serious and just decided to make an attempt to graduate (early),'' Cunningham said.
Cunningham credits the Florida coaching staff for encouraging him and other players to take school seriously.
"In the spring, we had little meetings every Tuesday about the real world and what’s going on,'' he said. "You see what you can have or what you can do with a degree. I just took it that much more serious.''
