With rumors swirling in Gainesville that Chip Kelly might be the Gators' next coach, ESPN asked him about it Sunday morning.

"Is this your way of firing me?" Kelly responded.

Kelly, the former Oregon coach, eventually answered seriously. He didn't deny interest in the job but said he likes his current position as an ESPN analyst.

"I really enjoy what I'm doing now," Kelly said. "I think Florida is an outstanding program and has had so much success there with Urban (Meyer), Steve Spurrier. I think whoever gets that job will be really lucky."

Kelly went 46-7 with the Ducks before jumping to the NFL.
