CBS analyst Gary Danielson: Injuries ruined the two most talented teams in the SEC East

When the college football season began, both Florida and Georgia were ranked in the Top 10 and had legitimate title hopes.

But the Gators and Bulldogs will meet on Saturday afternoon having suffered through an injury-filled season that has derailed their championship dreams.

Florida has lost eight starters to injuries, including QB Jeff Driskel. The Bulldogs' injuries include its star WR Keith Marshall and WR Justin Scott-Wesley.

"Had Florida and Georgia stayed healthy they were the two most talented teams in the SEC East," CBS analyst Gary Danielson said. "They play a different style of football, but were the two top teams in the East going into the season and legitimate threats to win the SEC in a one game shootout versus Alabama, LSU or Texas A&M.  Both teams have just been ravaged by injuries.  Georgia has lost so many playmakers.  The Bulldogs were in control of the Vanderbilt game before the injuries started piling up.  They could have won that game easily if the breaks had not gone against them."
