BCS game won't draw many politicians; Injured Gators ready to play
Thursday night's BCS national championship game won't draw the usual number of state politicians because of the ongoing legislative special session, organizers said Wednesday.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, will not be in attendance, nor will many other senators and legislators who normally would attend this type of sporting event being held in their state.
However, former President Bill Clinton may be among the attendees, Orange Bowl president Danny Ponce said. Clinton will be in Miami for a function in conjunction with the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and Ponce said Clinton's aides have told him the former President has expressed an interest in attending the game.
