Billy Donovan calls Gators' non-conference schedule among toughest ever
As part of his continuning effort to play a tough, non-conference schedule, Florida coach Billly Donovan has his Gators facing five NCAA Tournament teams from last year and the much-anticipated game against Georgetown on a U.S. Navy ship in Jacksonville.
“This is as challenging a non-conference schedule as we’ve had during my tenure at Florida,” Donovan said. “We’ve made deep runs in the NCAA Tournament each of the last two years and a schedule like this helps expose us to a number of different styles of play that we could see later in the season, and also does a great job preparing us for SEC play.”
The schedule also includes a game in Tampa against Middle Tennessee
