CBS analyst Gary Danielson says Will Muschamp "doing about as good as he can"

Veteran CBS lead football analyst Gary Danielson said today that Florida coach Will Muschamp's team isn't good enough to compete in the SEC, and the first-year Gator coach is doing the best that can be expected at this point.

"I believe Will Muschamp is doing about as good as he can,'' Danielson said. "To me, I really think Will Muschamp has a butter knife, basically a dull butter knife of talent in a league that everybody else has steak and you need a steak knife to win in this league. He has no chance. He does not have a team put together to compete at the highest level at this league, especially with an injured quarterback.''

Florida is in the midst of a four-game losing streak and has lost four consecutive conference games for the first time since 1979. The Gators will host Vanderbilt Saturday at 12:21 p.m.
