Denver columnist Woody Paige predicts Tim Tebow will be a star
In the months leading up to the NFL draft, it was nearly impossible to find any NFL analyst of draft expert to say anything positive about Tim Tebow's chances of succeeding in the NFL.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden was in his corner, but the supporters were few and far between.
Even on the night the former Florida QB and Heisman Trophy winner was drafted in the first round, he was still being ripped as a potential failure in the league, and his new head coach Josh McDaniels of the Denver Broncos was criticized for the decision to make Tebow a first round selection.
But one week later, it seems Tebow may be winning some people over.
Veteran Denver Post columnist Woody Paige says he believes Tebow eventually be a big-time NFL quarterback. Having been among the few, he says, to first see something in Steve Young and John Elway, Paige writes that he seems similar characteristics in Tebow.
