Donovan wants Gators to take advantage of tough non-conference competition
When Florida takes on No. 6 Kansas State in the Orange Bowl Basketball Classic in Sunrise on Saturday afternoon, it will be the second Top 10 opponent the Gators have faced this season.
It's part of a concerted effort UF coach Billy Donovan began last season to play a tougher non-conference schedule.
The Gators lost 93-75 to Ohio State at home earlier this season, and Donovan said Saturday's game is important because it's not just about playing tough teams before SEC play - the Gators need to win some of those games.
The game will be televised live on FSN.
