Eloy Vargas' time with Florida basketball team may be over

While the Gators await word on whether forward Adam Allen will play this season, they are in danger of losing another big man.

Sophomore forward Eloy Vargas said on his Twitter account that he plans to visit another school this weekend.

"Will be taking a visit to Kentucky Wildcats this weekend,''  Vargas wrote on Twitter.

His interest in moving on most likely won't surprise Florida coach Billy Donovan who hinted earlier this week that Vargas might not remain with the team.

"I think right now for him trying to finish up academically is going to be a challenge,'' Donovan said. "I'm probably not at liberty to say much about him at all right now. I probably can't say anything right now. There will be a time where I can come and maybe say something.''

Vargas, 6-foot-10, 215 pounds, played just nine games last season due to ankle problems stemming from off-season surgery.
