Florida sophomore Erving Walker, who was a key figure in Florida's 3-0 run last week, was named the SEC Player of the Week after earning tournament MVP honors in the Legends Classic in Atlantic City, N.J.

Walker averaged 12 points, five assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals last week in wins over FSU, then-No. 2 Michigan State and Rutgers.

"I'm happy with that, but I'm much more happy with our two wins in New Jersey and our whole team improvement,’’ Walker said.
