ESPN.com: Donovan Is Gone

ORLANDO - Florida coach Billy Donovan will become the new head coach of the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN.com.

The website, citing multiple unnamed sources, said Donovan will be announced as the new head coach at 11 a.m. today in Orlando.

Despite earlier reports of a six-year, $36 million deal, it is now being reported that it's a five-year deal worth $27.5 million and Donovan will have no front office duties.

Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley, who left the SEC spring meetings in Destin Thursday afternoon to meet with Donovan, could not be reached for comment. Donovan was said to be mulling over the offer early Thursday afternoon before meeting with Foley.

Former Florida guard Taurean Green said following his NBA Pre-Draft camp workout that he heard "from a friend' that it was official, and while he's surprised, he believes Donovan will be a "great" NBA coach. He also added he hopes the Gators will hire former assistant, and now VCU head coach, Anthony Grant to replace Donovan.
