Ex-Gators lineman Piller taken in UFL Draft
Former Florida offensive lineman Zach Piller, 33, who last played in the NFL in 2006, was one of the bigger names selected in Thursday night's draft for the new UFL football league.
Piller, a St. Petersburg native who played eight seasons in the NFL, was drafted by the UFL's Orlando franchise. He was the only former Florida player taken, though most of the league's quarterbacks won't be announced until July 1 and additional signings will be made from other players not on NFL rosters.
