Fayson Undergoes Surgery

GAINESVILLE - Florida receiver Jarred Fayson underwent surgery Thursday morning to remove bone chips in his left knee. He is expected to recover in three to five weeks.

Fayson, the former Hillsborough standout, had 14 carries for 126 yards last season and was a stellar performer on special teams. He carried the ball a career-best seven times for a personal-high 77 yards and scored his first career touchdown on an 8-yard run against Western Carolina.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Peter Indelicato at the Florida Surgical Center.
