Florida center Mike Pouncey named to Rimington Watch list
Gators senior center Mike Pouncey is among 37 players who have been named to the spring Rimington Trophy Watch List. The award, named after Nebraska's two-time consensus All-America center Dave Rimington, is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding offensive center.
Pouncey's twin brother Maurkice won the award last season.
Mike Pouncey has made 28 consecutive starts on the offensive line, primarily at guard, and will make the transition to center for the 2010 season. He was named AP Second-Team All-American and First-Team All-SEC in 2009.
The Rimington list includes 17 returning players from the 2009 Watch List. The ACC has the most candidates with six, followed by five from the Big-12 and PAC-10 and four from the SEC.
