Florida coach Will Muschamp not losing sleep over lost players

Florida coach Will Muschamp isn't too concerned about the three players that have voluntarily left the program since his arrival in January.

In fact, Muschamp said during his visit to Tampa Thursday night that it's not uncommon to lose players when there's a coaching change and he'd much rather have players be honest about their feelings than have them stick around when they don't want to be there.

"Any time you have change you have people that wonder where they fit within the organization,'' Muschamp said. "And sometimes they feel like they don’t fit within the organization. I want guys who want to be Florida Gators ,that are willing to work hard and understand they’re not going to be given anything. Guys who work hard and want to be at Florida, those are the guys I want.''

For now, things seem to have stabilized Muschamp said. He said he stopped by the athletic facility on Wednesday and got good reports about offseason workouts from several veteran players. He said he doesn't anticipate any more players leaving.

I" don’t foresee anything, but I can’t tell the future,'' he said. "We’re going to continue to do things the right way. We want guys who want to be at Florida. It’s not a right to play at Florida. It’s a privilege. It’s a great institution; it’s an outstanding place to go to school and play football and we want guys who want to be there and are committed to be there."
