Florida coach Will Muschamp says Gators too "soft"
Florida head coach Will Muschamp said after Saturday night's 21-7 loss to Florida State that the Gators are a "soft" team.
Muschamp said that was one of the messages he conveyed to his team in his postgame talk. He called the loss "disappointing" and said he'll spend the next two weeks recruiting to help fill the many holes the Gators currently have on their roster.
Florida State turned three interceptions into 21 points, which was all the Seminoles needed for a 21-7 victory over the Gators.
It was only the third win for Florida State (8-4, 5-3 ACC) in Gainesville since 1993. The Seminoles’ win ended a 25-game home winning streak against non-SEC opponents for the Gators (6-6, 3-5).
Muschamp reiterated that the Gators' problems fall on his shoulders, and insisted he'll get things corrected and the program turned around.
