Florida coach Will Muschamp says staff cohesion where it needs to be to start the season

In the approximately six months that the new Florida coaching staff has been together, they have gelled well enough that head coach Will Muschamp said they are a very solid group heading into Saturday's season-opener.

“I’ve been very pleased with how we’ve come together and understanding where we are headed with this thing,'' Muschamp said. "First of all,
philosophically being on the same page, and that starts with offensively and defensively, special teams, recruiting and public relations. It’s everything. It’s all encompassing when you’re talking about philosophically being on the same page and I feel like our staff is. I think that they understand and they know what I want done in the program and how we want things done in the program as far as discipline is concerned, how we approach practice, how we approach our players, how we handle the situations.''

However, Muschamp understands that none of it matters if the Gators don't win.

"I’ve been very pleased with the results to this point, but again, we are measured on game day,'' he said. "At the end of the day, we’re measured on game day. We can talk about all this other stuff but we’re measured how we play.”
