Florida falls one spot in AP poll
GAINESVILLE - Despite its 59-31 win over Troy Saturday night, Florida fell from No. 4 to No. 5 in this week's Associated Press poll.
The Gators held a 49-7 lead at halftime, but allowed Troy to score 24 second half points. That, combined with Oklahoma's big win over Miami apparently swayed some voters.
LSU, with its dominating win over Virginia Tech, received 25 first place votes, but it wasn't enough to overtake idle USC at the No. 1 spot.
Oklahoma moved to No. 3, while West Virginia also fell one spot to No. 4. Texas, Wisconsin, California, Louisville and Ohio State round out the Top 10.
Following its 16-12 loss to South Carolina, Georgia fell 12 spots to No. 23 and Auburn dropped completely out of the polls after its overtime loss to South Florida. South Carolina moved into the poll at No. 17.
Tennessee, Florida's opponent this weekend, is ranked No. 22.
