Florida fares well on latest Academic Progress Rate report
GAINESVILLE - Only one Florida athletic program failed to scored more than the required 925 on the NCAA Academic Progess Rate data, but the Gators are not subject to any sanctions.
The report is based on data from the academic years 2003-2007.
The men's basketball team had a score of 919, one below the 920 average, but is not subject to penalties due to squad size adjustment.
The Gator volleyball team had a perfect APR score of 1000, while the football team's 962 placed it within the 80th-90th percentile rank within the sport, compared to all other Division I institutions.
Several other SEC did receive minor sanctions in various sports. Tennesseee had a scholarship reduction of 1.17 in baseball, one scholarship in men's basketball and 0.02 in men's swimming. South Carolina had a reduction of one scholarship in men's basketball; Arkansas 0.92 in baseball and LSU's baseball team will receive a 0.34 reduction in baseball.
