Florida Gators Billy Donovan among coaches lending support at coaches clinic for charity
Florida coach Billy Donovan is among several prominent coaches speaking today at a New Jersey coaches' clinic organized as a fundraiser for the Brayden Carr Foundation.
Donovan will join Indiana coach Tom Crean, Cincinnati coah Mick Cronin, former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy, former NBA assistant coach Kevin Eastman and current ESPN college basketball/NBA analyst Fran Fraschilla at the second-annual clinic, which will be held at the Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J.
The even helps raise money for In Brayden's Eyes, The Brayden Carr Foundation which provides athletic, social, rehabilitative, and academic opportunities to children with seizure conditions, with or without motor delays from associated cerebral palsy, as well as to provide humanitarian support/relief to their parents.
The foundation formed from support for longtime Rutgers men's basketball staffer Jim Carr and his wife Natalie Zeno Carr in honor of their 2-year old son Brayden, who died in May 2011 after battling epilepsy.
This week Donovan posted this message on his Twitter account: I'll be participating at the Brayden Carr Clinic in NJ on Friday, benefits a tremendous cause, please visit http://braydencarrfoundation.com/site/ for details.
