Florida sophomore DB Loucheiz Purifoy today was named the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

Purifoy blocked a punt with :02 remaining and Jelani Jenkins returned it 36 yards for a touchdown in the Gators' 27-20 come-from-behind win over Louisiana-Lafayette this past Saturday. It helped complete a 14-0 run in the final 1:40 to close the game for the Gators. 

It was the second blocked kick in as many weeks for Purifoy, who also blocked a 25-yard field goal against Missouri the previous week. He also had five tackles and a pass breakup in Saturday's win.
