Florida Gators men's tennis team prepares for hostile weekend
They are well aware of what to expect this weekend.
When the No. 16 Florida men's tennis team travels to play No. 7 Georgia on Friday and No. 4 Tennessee on Sunday, the Gators will face not only two of the best teams in the nation, but hostile environments that make the task of winning on the road even more difficult.
The Gators and Bulldogs will play at 5 p.m. Friday, while Florida and UT will play at 1 p.m.
“[These are] teams that we know we can be successful against, but teams that we know are two of the best in the country,” head coach
Andy Jackson said. “We are really looking forward to the competition and give ourselves a chance to host an NCAA Regional. And we need some help from some other teams, but you never know about the conference race.”
Florida is 13-6 overall, has a 6-2 conference record, and is currently in third place in the SEC. Georgia (17-3, 8-0) sits atop the SEC, whilc Tennessee (17-3, 7-1) is second.
Listen to coach Jackson describe what kind of environment the Gators will face on the road this weekend.
