Florida guard Erving Walker to play his final home game today

Florida senior guard Erving Walker will play his final home game today when No. 16 Florida hosts No. 1 Kentucky at the O'Connell Center at noon. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.

Walker, a native of New York, will be recognized in a pregame ceremony accompanied by his mother, father and cousin, he said.

Florida coach Billy Donovan said he believes Walker should be proud of his accomplishments during his collegiate career.

"I think he's played pretty well, he's had an incredible career for a guy his size (5-foot-8),'' Florida coach Billy Donovan said. "Not only with the way he shoots the ball, but leaving here as a Top five all-time leading scorer, but also to leave here as the No. 1 assist guy in the history of the school, he's had a really good career. And he's been a part of a lot of winning, too, which is great.''
