Florida lacrosse team is on the rise
In the midst of a 10-game winning streak, the Florida lacrosse team has risen to its highest ranking in the program's short history.
The Gators (10-1) are ranked No. 6 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, announced today. It is the highest ranking for the Gators who are in their second season as a program.
Florida has outscored opponents, 159-78, since the Gators’ overtime loss to No. 3 North Carolina, their only defeat of the season. Florida is ranked fifth in the nation in overall points scored and win percentage, sixth in scoring margin, seventh in scoring offense and draw
controls and ninth in scoring defense.
The Gators are 9-0 at home this season.
