Florida leads Kentucky 24-0 at halftime
Florida has scored 21 second-quarter points to take a 24-0 lead over Kentucky at halftime in Gainesville.
Gator sophomore QB Jeff Driskel has been shaky at times, but he's also been outstanding on several plays. His highlights: a 52-yard pass to Omarius Hines, a 38-yard run to set up a field goal and a 1-yard strike between defenders to Quinton Dubar with 44 seconds remaining in the first half.
Florida has 232 yards of total offense, although most of that has come on a few big plays.
Kentucky backup quarterback Morgan Newton, who is in for an injured Maxwell Smith, has struggled. He has thrown three interceptions and is 6-of-20 for 49 yards. Driskel is 11-of-19 for 147 yards.
There is still no official word on the whereabouts of RB/WR Trey Burton who is not on the sidelines at today's game.
