Florida men's track team remains No. 1 in latest poll
Following another weekend of stellar performances, the Florida men's track team retained its No. 1 ranking by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association.
The Gators had their best weekend of the season so far this past weekend with eight NCAA qualifying marks during the competition.
Florida was the preseason No. 1 team, and has been ranked in the nation’s top spot for three of the four weeks of the 2011 poll, including two consecutive. SEC foe LSU is ranked No.2, followed by Indiana, Texas A&M and Arkansas round out the top-five.
Six SEC teams are among the nation’s top-25 this week including: No. 1 Florida, No. 2 LSU, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 19 Alabama, No. 22 Georgia and No. 24 Auburn.
Florida will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., Feb. 25-27 to participate in the 2011 SEC Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center at the University of Arkansas.
