Florida to play Penn State in Outback Bowl



Florida has accepted an invitation to play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1.

The Gators will play Penn State at 1 p.m., at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Florida will be making its 20th-straight bowl appearance, which ranks first in the SEC and second nationally. It will be the Gators' fourth appearance in the Outback Bowl. Florida has a 1-2 record in the Outback Bowl, with its most recent trip ending in a 31-24 victory over Iowa on Jan. 2, 2006.

This will be the third meeting between Florida and Penn State.  

The Gator Ticket Office will begin taking ticket orders for the Outback Bowl on Monday, Dec. 6, starting at 9 a.m. All fans can order online at, by visiting the Gator Ticket Office starting on Monday or by calling their order in. Deadline is 11:59 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10.

Orders from all Gator Boosters and general public fans will be accepted, and there will be no limits on the number of tickets a fan may order. However, if the Gator Ticket Office oversells by the deadline, tickets may be reduced or refunded using the Gator Booster Priority Point system. If the Gator Ticket Office must issue reductions or refunds, notifications will be made as soon as possible after the deadline.

Tickets are $70 for stadium seats or $150 for Club seats.
