Things look pretty bad right now, John Brantley is keenly aware of that.

As the Gators sit at 5-5, heading into Saturday's game against Furman still in need of a win to become bowl eligible, the Florida senior QB is among the many who can't help but wonder how it all went so terribly wrong this season.

But Brantley said fans should know this: the Gators are still working as hard as they can and nobody on his team has quit.

"This team is a real close bunch,'' he said. "It’s unfortunate that our season has gone the way it has, but we want to keep coming out here each week playing for each other, and keep getting better.''
