Following its 14-6 victory over No. 4 LSU, Florida rose six spots to No. 4 in this week's Associated Press college football rankings. The Gators are ranked No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

It is the Gators' highest ranking since Sept. 4, 2010. Florida began the 2010 season ranked No. 4 in the AP poll.

Alabama, which had a bye this past weekend, remains the unanimous No. 1, while Oregon State is No. 2.

Former Florida coach Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks are No. 3. The Gators and Gamecocks will play on Oct. 20 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
