Florida women get break from competition at just the right time, coach Amanda Butler says
The Florida women's basketball team has a bye this week and it couldn't have come at a better time, coach Amanda Butler said.
The Gators (13-7, 3-4 SEC) are in the midst of a frustrating stretch. Florida has had nine games this season decided by 10 points or less - including six of its 7 SEC contests which have been decided by six points or fewer.
The close losses, and the amount of physical effort the Gators are having to expend trying to battle and close out these close games, has begun take a toll, which is why Butler said the bye is just what the Gators need right now.
