With five seniors on the starting roster this season, the Florida women's basketball team is hoping that veteran leadership will help carry the Gators to the next level this season.

The Gators enter the season coming off a tough 2010 season. Of the Gators 35 games last season, 23 were decided by 10 points or fewer - 16 of those by six points.

Those hard-rought games and bitter losses are part of what is fueling this year's team, head coach Amanda Butler said.
