Florida women to host Harvard tonight
The Florida women's basketball team will play its third game in four days when the Gators host Harvard tonight at the O'Connell Center.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
Florida (7-2) will be trying to rebound from a stunning 56-50 loss at Brown over the weekend. In that game, the Gators shot a season-low 30.6 percent (22-72) from the field. The loss snapped Florida’s five-game winning streak, the team’s longest since the 2008-09 season when the team had a program-record 16-game win streak.
“We need to show continued growth and improvement,” UF head coach Amanda Butler said. “I’m not trying to be vague, we just really need to try and find ways to improve because we know we have a good team and have all the pieces to the puzzle, it’s a matter of putting them in the right order so that the picture looks the way it’s suppose to. We’re still a piece out of joint here and there on this day or that and we need to get everyone on the same page. We need to finds ways to do that consistently.”
