Florida women's tennis owns nation's longest home winning streak

When the St. John’s women’s basketball team upset No. 2 Connecticut this past weekend, it snapped the Huskies’ 99-game home court winning streak, which had been the longest active home win streak of any NCAA Division I women’s sport.

Now the new streak belongs to the Gators.

The UF women’s tennis team currently has a 98-match home winning streak - the longest in the nation. The Gators will put that streak on the line on Feb. 25.

Here’s a list of the longest active home win streaks in all sports:

Ohio State men’s tennis - 135 (next home match on Feb. 25 vs. Kentucky)

Florida women’s tennis - 98 (next home match on Feb. 25); Stanford women’s basketball – 50 (next home game on Feb. 23 vs. Colorado)

Kentucky men’s basketball – 50 (next home game on Feb. 25 vs. Vanderbilt)

Texas A&M softball – 32 (next home game on March 2)
