Florida won't play Andre Debose if he's not 100 percent
Florida wide receiver Andre Debose won't be allowed to play if he's not 100 percent healthy, because of the risk of further injury to his hamstring.
Debose is currently awaiting a medical determination on whether he needs surgery to repair the hamstring, that includes tendon damage. The Gators lack depth at receiver, but Meyer said doctors have told him it won't be possible to play Debose at 70 or 80 percent.
"No, not with a hamstring, I asked that same question,'' Meyer said. "I said can we just play him because I want to see this guy play. But he could risk further damage to it. I did talk to coach Stoops about DeMarco Murray (who had a similar injury). It was a little different injury, but that did take some time to heal. It's similar, but it's a little different.''
