Forbes lists SEC as fourth most lucrative college conference
The SEC may have won the past seven BCS national championships, but the league is not the most financially lucrative.
Forbes released a list today of the estimated annual revenues for the top conferences in college sports. The SEC, which has the reigning national champions in football and men's basketball, is fourth - with revenues of $270 million.
Based on financial data obtained from the NCAA, BCS, the conferences and other estimates, the Big Ten is No. 1 with revenues of $310 million — $250 million of that coming from TV.
The Pac-12 is second at $303 million, and the ACC is third at $293 million.
