Forget Towson, Florida expecting extremely tough challenge from LSU

The AP voters may have thought less of LSU after the Tigers' 38-22 win over Towson, the Florida Gators expect a fiercely competitive game with LSU when the two meet on Saturday afternoon at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The game will be a matchup of two top 10 teams - Florida at No. 10, LSU is No. 4. It is the fourth time that both teams have been ranked in the top 10 entering the game.

Muschamp said Monday he watched part of the LSU-Towson game on a tape-delayed basis and doesn't believe for one second that LSU will approach the Florida game in the same manner.

"We won’t see the same LSU football team, from an enthusiasm standpoint, from a passion level, from a pad level, from the stripe,'' Muschamp said. "I don’t look at games and say ‘Look at this score that means this is going to happen.’ I look at every Saturday is a different day. Everybody matches up differently with different people. And I don’t look at games maybe the way (others) do sometimes.''
