Former Gator defensive coordinator Charlie Strong loses it with the media
Apparently former Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong still thinks he's coaching at a "football school.''
Strong, now the head coach at Louisville, recently banned the local media from covering his team - get this - reportedly because he's upset with the way they went all out with their coverage of Louisville's Final Four run while his team was participating in spring practice.
Strong must be flashing back to his days with the Gators. Even this year, there was a large contingent of local media covering spring football, while a handful of us covered the NCAA Tournament. Of course, part of that is because fewer publications are traveling much these days, but you can't be mad because another team is getting attention for its success.
And honestly, Charlie, you're in Kentucky. Of course people are more interested in basketball.
Anyway, check out the story on Strong's ban here: http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/04/10/charlie-strong-is-upset-at-the-louisville-media-so-hes-banned-them/
