Former Gator facing two misdemeanor charges
Former Florida CB Wondy Pierre-Louis has been charged with two counts of cirminal mischief stemming from a January incident in which police alleged Pierre-Louis attacked his girlfriend.
The Gainesville State Attorney's Office filed charges against Pierre-Louis on Thursday. One count is for damaging a door at Starlett Lazenberry's apartment and the other is in connection with alleged damages to her cell phone.
Pierre-Louis was originally arrested on Jan. 17 and charged with domestic battery. Police reports at the time stated that Lazenberry told police Pierre-Louis kicked her door in, choked her and held her against her will when she tried to leave her apartment.
But at his initial court appearance after turning himself in to police, Lazenberry disputed the accusations, telling a judge she didn't fear for her life and that Pierre-Louis would not hurt her. A native of Haiti, he is currently free on $40,00 bond and no court date has been set.
