Former Gator Wes Chandler is new Califormnia WR coach



Former Florida WR Wes Chandler has been hired by California coach Jeff Tedford as the Golden Bears' new wide receivers coach.

Chandler played for the Gators from 1974-77, and was a First-Team All-America selection in 1976 and 1977. He caught 92 career passes for 1,963 yards and a school-record 22 touchdowns. 

He played 11 seasons in the NFL - with  New Orleans, San Diego and his final years with the San Francisco 49ers. He has spent 26 years in the pro coaching ranks, including assistant coaching positions with the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings.

A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Chandler made 559 career receptions for 8,966 yards and 56 touchdowns.
