Former Gators Named To National Honor Roll



GAINESVILLE - Former Florida players Billy Latsko and Steve Rissler are among 345 athletes from 195 schools chosen for the inagural class of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) National Honor Society on Wednesday.

The NFF National Honor Society is comprised of football players from all divisions who maintained a 3.2 GPA or better. Qualifications also included: being a starter of significant contributor in their last year of eligibility; a 3.2 of better throughout entire course of undergraduate study and meeting all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.

Latsko and Rissler were multiple SEC Academic Honor Roll selections. Latsko played in 51 games, had 16 starts and in 2006 was named one of six team captains.

Rissler played in 42 games, started 24, and was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2006.
