Four Gators invited to NFL combine; Ryan Stamper to play in East-West Shrine game



Stampermeyer Former LB Ryan Stamper will participate in the East-West Shrine Game, which will be held Jan. 23 in Orlando.

As a senior in 2009, Stamper led the Gators with 78 tackles (42) solo, and earned second-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches.

Stamper appeared in 41 games with 26 starts and was a team captain as both a junior and senior. He had 148 total tackles (77 solo) in his career and made 13.5 tackles for a total loss of 51 yards, including 5.5 sacks. Stamper also recovered three fumbles and intercepted two passes.

Also former Gator WR Riley Cooper, DE Jermaine Cunningham, KR/RB Brandon James and QB Tim Tebow have been invited to the NFL combine, which will be held Feb. 24 - March 2 in Indianapolis.

The East-West Shrine game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. on Jan. 23.
