Four Gators named to men's preseason All-SEC basketball team



Florida senior forward Chandler Parsons was among four Gator players selected for preseason All-SEC honors by the league coaches on Wednesday, the most of any school in the league.

Parsons was selected to the nine-man First Team (ties are not broken). Sophomore guard Kenny Boynton, junior guard Erving Walker and senior forward Alex Tyus each were selected to the All-SEC Second Team.

All four UF players averaged in double-figures a year ago. Boynton led all Gator scorers with 14 points per game, Walker with 12.6, Parsons with 12.4 and Tyus with 11.8.

No. 11 Florida will play Florida Tech in an exhibition game Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
