Gator baseball team begins five-game stretch tonight against UCF

Prestontucker The Gator baseball team will begin a stretch of five games in five days tonight when Florida host UCF, beginning at 6:35.

It's the beginning of a stretch in which Florida will face Siena on Thursday before kicking off a three-game homestand against LaSalle on Friday.

Tonight's game will feature a pair of freshman pitchers - UF's Hudson Randall and UCF's Brian Adkins - both of whom will be making their collegiate starting debut.

The Gators are looking for a 4-0 start for the third consecutive season. The Gators have a 13-2 (.867) record at home under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan during the month of February.

In the Gators’ most recent game against UCF last April, Tampa's Preston Tucker tied the SEC single-game record and established a school mark with 11 RBI to lead the Gators to a 16-3 win. Tucker had grand slams in both the fifth and seventh innings,  and also had a three-run homer in the sixth.
